Well, better late than never. LOL I'm Cindy, 53, live in Roanoke, Va. Returned home to live with my Mom. We take care of each other now. No children. 5 dogs, 3 birds and enough love for thousands more animals, but no room and live in City where they put a limit on pets. I have no horses, but have loved them for as long as I can remember. I came here after reading about Sissy on Bev's MB. So glad to hear Sissy and her baby are doing so well.

Hi! My name is Amanda and I am located in the northwest also, Custer to be exact. And for those of you who live in Washington and are wondering where the heck Custer is, well, I could almost be Canadian I'm so close....LOL. I found your board through other boards and thought it would be nice to drop in on someone local. We have had other breeds of horses in the past but decided a few years ago to concentrate on Paints. We aren't a big outfit by anymeans, 4 horses- our stallion, Machos Reverse Image (Hotrod) hunka hunka , 2 paint mares Buggy and Lacey, and of course the odd ball of the farm, an Appy named Sweetie. I could never bear to part with her and my kids would tar and feather me if I did. And soon there will be 6 when the babies are born in the spring. 2 dogs (Papa, blue heeler, and Gator, an English Mastiff, and 4 cats, Bam (barn cat), Mister, Crook, & Chase. 2 WONDERFUL children ....maybe 3 in the future, ages 5 and 2. We don't activly show right now as there aren't many shows up our way, but would love to get our stallion out for the public to see. Well, that's our story, I'm glad to have found someone close to chat with and look forward to visiting the boards, see ya there!! Now if I could just figure out how to make those smilies move I'd be doing great..........

Well, we welcome you here Mary!!! We already have something in common by living in the same state, beautiful Washington! Also being animal lovers. I think I have talked to you a bit over on Dar's board... when you were having surgery. I had hoped to come meet/visit you but I can't remember what, but something came up. Maybe someday. Well again welcome! Hope to see you around here. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!

Newbie Here!!
My name is Susan, and I live on Camano Island in Washington State. About an hour north of Seattle.
I was born and raised in San Diego, CA. We were an upper middle-class, suburb family, and my family has NO idea where I came from! Meaning...where did this massive love and passion for horses. I am married, second time around, to a great man, Dave. He is into horsepower, and I'm into horses. We fit together real well.
I have my "forever" paint mare, Cassie. Who is open at this time, so I am seriously considering Gus! I just sold her last baby, Carly, who is two. They are picking her up this weekend. It's bitter-sweet. But what could be better than to be a 10 y/o's first horse and best friend! They will learn and grow together! LOVE IT! I also have a PMU black, Percheron mare. And just sold her yearling filly to the best couple. So...I guess that leaves me with only 2! WOW! I haven't been down to two in some time! I also have 3 dogs, 6 cats, and one Grey goose (that thinks she is a horse)

Hey. I'm Kristine Hay. I am 14. I live in Shoreview Minnesota. I am always at Lisa Happe's place. I currently lease her beautiful mare, Eyed Luv Lucy. She is such a doll! I have two cats and a dog. Daisy, Spike and Tymmy. Daisy is my beautiful gray tabby. We think Spike is a rag doll because when you pick him up, the res of him hangs. He is probably a mix because he is black. Tymmy is a west highland white terrier X Bichon Frise. He is adorable and is 5. I have trained him myself and he has learned quite a few things. Besides the basic sit, stay, lay. He has learned roll over and wave. He is quite smart. I have loved horses since I was 5. I went on my first trailride when I was six, and I always talked about horses. Now that I am older, I plan to buy one of Lisa's foals and train it. If that doesn't work, my mom and I want to rescue a horse (like sissy). We really looked up to that story. You did an amazing job with her! ClickClickClickClick--Kristine
