Hi Lori,
You will find me posting primarily on Dar's MB.
Have been involved in horses most of my life; in 2003 bought "Andy" a colt out of Utopians Last Power and My Awesome Annie, both then owned by Dar & Bruce Strohbehn.

Hi Lori,
I made my way over from Bev's. I wanted to see the rescue mare. It just frosts my hide when knot heads let their animals rot. Makes me so mad I want to hunt them down and rip them another one. Since you have horses already I would say you know what you're doing. My only advice is, when I had animals I used bag balm on everything. LOL even myself. May not help but it won't hurt either. Give the mommy some lovin from me.

Hi Lori, I'm Sheila from South Western Kentucky. I'm a dailey lurker on Bev's MB. I'm married, 6 children from 26 to 3 years old, 6 grandchildren with 3 more on the way this summer, 2 dogs, a 120 lb rottie outside and a 3lb poodle inside, 240 birds, a few fish, 3 horses, a TN Walker ( my husbands), a mountain saddle horse due this month(shes mine) and a 11 month old paint colt ( he belongs to my 3 year old son) and a groundhog. It isn't a pet but I can't get it to go away so I just feed it LOL... Looks like you have alot of work ahead of you with this mare, tons of TLC and mom and foal will be great.

Hello, I'm from Roy, Washington. I love spots mainly but own a variety of horses, mostly rescues. I have recently aquired my dream horse. An appaloosa stud horse who is sweet as pie. I have been married for 3 yrs in July, but with the same man for 11 yrs. We have a 4 year old boy and a 3 yr old dashhound/pitbull cross named Ike. We and my family share in the responsibility of caring for 13 horses total. They are the loves of our lives and I couldn't imagine my life with out any of them.
Dar's board is where I post mostly.
Thanks for the warm welcome.

Good morning! I'm from Bev's board and didn't feel that it was appropriate to use her board for this on this day. I look forward to watching and hearing about Sissy. This is just wonderful and, obviously, you are going to get a lot of help. Just the fact that she is away from the hole where she was... what can I say. Good luck, Lynn

Hi everyone. I just found this message board. I have 4 rescued horses here. I just couldn't leave them once I saw them. I got my first in Oct. followed by one in Nov. and then two last month. All total I have 5 horses and 2 ponies. I live in WA in the Seattle area on the Eastside. I have 2 kids, who are so in to animals. We have a regular zoo here. 4 dogs, 4 cats, 4 guinea pigs, 4 goats, 5 horses, 2 ponies, about 100 chickens, and 20 ducks. It keeps us busy but we love it. I'm a stay at home Mom so I get lots of work done and spend most of my time lovin' my 'babies'. Everyone have a great day. This is a really good board. Rachelle

We were like that too prior to have kids (lots of animals) but since the kids keep us busy too we have not replaced them as they pass on. With the exception of the horses. The kids share my passion of horses too. Sounds like we live fairly close.
