As I had mentioned in my post yesterday I knew she was getting close, but not quite that close. I figured tonight I would start making my evening runs to the barn to check on her. When I arrived to feed this morning... I first saw Pauly. Then I looked into Sissy's pen and there were 4 extra legs!!! I couldn't believe it.... I didn't even finish parking the car, I just left it where it was and went running over there. The colt who I first thought was a filly because I didn't want to bother them, I didn't know how new he was. I glanced underneath from a distance and only saw his umbilical cord..... so I assumed it was a filly. I later moved them into a stall because it was raining. You can imagine my surprise when HE peed!!!
Anyway these first pictures are from when I first arrived this morning.
And then these pictures are from later when we moved them into a stall.
By these last photo's he was quite a tuckered out little fella.
Sissy is a great mom.... I am very impressed with her!!!
The vet is coming at 2:30 to make sure all is well with both of them and to re-ultrasound Pauly.
Thank you all for your support through all of this. You cannot believe how relieved I was to see a healthy foal!
