What a relief, but I am watching her closely and being extra careful of how I feed her. Saturday I stuck to exactly the way they were feeding her at the clinic.... 1/2 flake of hay every 3 hours. Yesterday I moved it up to 1 flake every 3 hours until about 9 at night.... Today being back at work, it's going to be a little tougher. I'm hoping since my husband doesn't work too far from home that he can run by and feed her a couple times for me. Again, I am just so thankful we ended up with a good outcome. I have only had her for 2 weeks but boy it's amazing how quickly we can get attached to them. Making progress with the filly Crystal. Last night while she was eating I was able to stand and pet her all over her back, down her hip, up her neck on both sides and she didn't try to get away... unless I got too close to her belly. We also bought her a breakaway halter and got the halter switched on her. I HATE leaving halters on, but since she is so hard to catch.... one day it took me 45 minutes and that was with her halter on.... At least this way if she gets caught on anything, it should break. Have a great day and will update again soon.
