Things are not looking good. She was pretty quiet up until 11:30 AM, then just plopped down on the ground. They have done two more rounds of pain meds.... Said her heart rate isn't elevated, tests are all looking good. Said in the ultrasound she showed some distended small intestine but it looked like things were moving. She has pooped twice since there.... but she is still in pain which makes him think there may be a twist and unfortunately I cannont afford the $8,000-$10,000 they want for colic surgery. Still hoping, but less optimistic now.
We're praying for you and your mare (the new one?) that she pulls through this with no bumps in the road. Keep your head up and know we're all here for you if you need us
