They were so good. We wormed them, exposed them to clippers again. They took that well enough that we clipped their whiskers. Next time I'll try their bridle paths. We also practiced leading and then banded their manes so they will start laying over. They look so much different without thier mohawks. ;D
I'll try to get some new pics.... they have grown so much. Now if I could just get them to let go of the baby fuzz they have left. I think I'm going to try warm water rinses. Any suggestions?
Also busy, busy trying to get the two mares Cookie and Connie ready for fair. They are doing really well and gaining their weight back.
Hope all is well with everyone.

Ahhh, sounds like all the horsey kids got it yesterday. Nitro got bathed, clipped, and photographed yesterday afternoon (pics on our board). I love their mohawks and always hate to see them leave, kinda like the sign their growing up.
Good luck with the baby fuzz. If you find somethink that works, let me know. We couldn't get Nitro to shed his foal coat till late late spring this year. Nothing we did worked.
Well, it's official. Aiden is 1 year old now. Where does the time go? He's so big, walking, and even said his first word on Saturday "Buh- Buh", that's what we call Aaron. Oh, all these babies, horsey and human, grow up so darn fast!
Good luck at fair you guys! Can't wait for pics.

I popped over to take a look at Nitro Amand... Wow, hes grown up so much and what a handsome boy! Baby fuzz.... hmmm. I haven't had them hairy for so long before. Hank is starting to lose more, Lily on the other hand I think wants to keep it. Just keep worming them, feeding them well, brushing them... and now with working them too hopefully we will start seeing it come off. I'll let you know if I find any tricks. I have heard of rinsing them down with warm water.... so may give that a try as well. Wow, it's really hard to believe your baby is already 1 year old. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AIDEN! Give him a hug from me. ;D Y'all know me, you know you'll be seeing fair pics. The kids are doing good. Cookie is looking better and better all the time. Connie is finally getting her girly figure back (mommy figure is going bye bye). I know that Jason wishes he could ride Cookie as well. With both of them being intermediates this year at the fair, there's just no way they can share. Jason will be riding her in 3 classes though. Now I just need to figure out what they're going to wear. I'm sure the clothes Jason wore 2 years ago will no way fit him. Jenna had a little growing room, so maybe.

Have you powerpacked them? It will only take one powerpac for both. Just 1/2 tube for 5 days each. This will help with the hair coat for sure. Also, I curry after exercise. Once they are warm, the hair seems to let go easier. hope this helps.
