Gosh I wish I had know more about how the whole website design, domain... whatever it's called worked when I started. I hired someone to design my site years ago. She was supposed to set up my domain name as well, which she did, no problem. But then she flaked out on me. I then hired someone else to finish it.... that was a challenge trying to find out how to access the domain info. Well, just as I was hiring the person to design our new website... my domain expired. When I started investigating, I found out that someone else, a total stranger owned it. So I was set up the new one and decided to wait out the old one.... I would purchase it and have both. Well, I watched and I watch and someone else bought it before I did!!! Just whining.
Hank and Lily are doing great with weaning. They cried for a day or two and got a little hoarse. But, they seem to be doing really well with their surrogate mom, Pauly. I now need to think about weaning them from her. They are eating really well and even starting to get bellies on them. ;D
Cookie and Connie went off to the trainers. She started out just working them on the ground since they were both so out of shape. At the end of the first week, she had ridden each of them once... the kids went over to take a lesson so they rode their horses. Jenna was just so thrilled at how well Cookie was responding to her... none of the extending trot beating her little body to death while she was kicking, kicking, kicking! I guess it helps to just have an adult remind them of what they are supposed to do once in a while. I would LOVE to ride her, if only I could find the time for myself.
We had a little scare with Connie this week though. Remember at the end of her pregnancy she was bleeding..... well, she started that again. She was in Season at the time. I had the vet come out and check her, she checked several things but she does indeed have varicose veins not too far in from her vulva. The plan at this point is to wait until after the kids show at the fair, then we will take her in for a treatment that will seal/cauterize those problem veins so that hopefully this will be the end of hit.
Well, better get back to work. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their summer. Will try to post some pictures soon.
