I think she has filled out too! I am sure she was dehydrated as well. Water, food, and love is what she needed. Her rain rot looks better too.
Congrats on your progress, well Sissy's too.

She does look better. How is her temperament? I will never understand how an owner can look at their emmaciated horse and think there's nothing wrong. What did you end up using on her rain rot?

She does look better. How is her temperament? I will never understand how an owner can look at their emmaciated horse and think there's nothing wrong. What did you end up using on her rain rot? Since so many people recommended it as well as my vet. I bought some of the Eqyss Micro-Tek. It also recommends giving a bath but since I really did not feel that was an option because it had been cold her (I didn't want her getting sick on top of being starved). Last Wednesday I sprayed it on her back and hips and then with rubber gloves just rubbed it in really good. Thursday evening I ended up rushed to pack as I was going out of town Friday-Sunday. Got back late Sunday so yesterday I came home and took off her blanket and started brushing.... the scabs and hair were just falling off. I am now a believer in Micro-Tek!!! The stuff really works. Her temperment just keeps improving. I think it helps that we haven't pushed her too quickly. Just taking things one step at a time.

Great Effort! Your love and caring is showing big time!
Each day will be the difference, it is like our kids growing. We don't really appreciate the change until we see the pics and compare. And your comparison shows huge love and caring!
God love you for bringing her home. She must be so happy.
